Big Planet has joined hands with the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation to provide network support and free software distribution for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Our partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children will help the center to reach individuals across the U.S. with time and location sensitive missing children alerts.
The NCMEC was established in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization to provide services nationwide for families and professionals in the prevention of abducted, endangered, and sexually exploited children. Pursuant to its mission and its congressional mandates (see 42 U.S.C. §§ 5771 et seq.; 42 U.S.C. § 11606; 22 C.F.R. § 94.6), NCMEC, Big Planet and the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation would like to invite every PC-connected distributor to become involved with this important initiative by giving each of you a free copy of the application, allowing you to receive missing children alerts.
Missing Kids Network Software Nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year, on average 2,185 per day. Every hour, day, and week that a child is missing, the likelihood that he or she will be recovered safely decreases. While there is usually a flurry of activity when a child is first missing, the media attention fades quickly. As a result, NCMEC offers a new service that allows you to become directly involved in the ongoing search for these children.
The Missing Kids Online Alert program is a service of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children designed to bring continued attention to the plight of missing children. The program is an opt-in service that will bring important messages and information on missing and exploited children directly to your personal computer. Through this free, small software application, you are now able to receive, print, and E-mail alerts for your zip code as they are released. It runs quietly in the background of your computer, so you won't know it's there…until an alert is issued.
